How to Write a Composition

I always don’t know how to write a composition. It is so difficult for me that I have no idea about it. Maybe someone would have the same problem, so I search some information on the Internet to introduce it.
First, you should choose your topic. In senior high school, I was often given the topic to write, so I always paid attention to the following stages about the composition and ignored how to choose topics. Now, when I have more chances to write “my” composition, I just find that I don’t know what to write. What a pity it is! Thus, if you want to write well, you should have topics. But you also have to learn how to choose. The good topic should be accurate, attractive and meaningful. You’d better not write something boring if you want to be a good writer.
After choosing the topic, you’d better write an outline, which would help you finish writing easier. You can arrange your sifted materials in the outline so that it has unity. The way to write an outline is known by you, so there is no need for me to repeat.
Then, you begin to write. With the help of the outline, you may find it is easy to write a composition, then, you can pay more attention on your writing skills. It is a good chance for someone to show his ability. But no matter whether you are good at writing, you should make your composition explicit and accurate; you also should show your own idea to help others understand. Sometimes, you can use some special words or punctuations to make an expected effect.
The last thing, which is often ignored, is revising. The spell errors are not the only thing you can do when you are revising. You can also change some words or sentences to make your composition colorful. What’s more, you can evaluate it with four standards: Organization, Substance, Style and Mechanics.
This is the way to write a composition, but “there is no single way to write an effective composition”. If you want to be a good writer, do it by your heart.
