Health Plan

I’m now in a place far, far away from my home and parents. So it’s extremely important for me to take good care of myself, as is the same case for us all. Somehow I have developed a great interest in health issues. I guess it's because there is an expert in this field right in my dormitory.

It began in exercise, which dates back to the second Friday after we arrived here. Dr. Tan made an impressive speech which encouraged us to exercise regularly. So everyday, we pour out to jog on the hill. Naturally, this ”we” includes me.I found it exceedingly enjoyable to run in the sun, breathing in fresh air and appreciating the jungle along the way.

Apart from exercise, controlling food is also vital to health. I don’t eat too much that my stomach gets upset anymore, but stop eating before I feel full. Besides that, it benefits us to have more fruit than provided by the hostel.Just as the old saying goes, one apple a day, keeps doctors away!

There are many other tips provided by the expert to keep healthy. For instance, you should drink the minimum of 2 litres of water everyday, which is impossible for me to achieve. In addition, breakfast is of vital significance. Every morning, one glass of fresh water is needed, while too sweet beverage should be avoided.

It is now so popular to pay huge attention to diets and nutrition in my dormitory that my roommates are now planning to buy a weight scale together. I think it’s technically a good idea except that it might set off screams every evening.

Conclusively, health is a vital issue nowadays, especially for young people like you and me. Because most of the time, we tend to overlook this problem. It’s better to prevent health problems than to make up for them afterwards.

  1. keeping fit is the permanent topic among us girls. For me, although the weight scale tells me that I've not put on weight, I still find in frustration that my jeans is a little tighter than before...really a horrible disaster...

So the weight scale can not be fully trusted or you will be fooled to a large extent!

  7. It's a useful essay for us in Singapore. Before I came here,I heard that it is very essential to drink water as much as possible to adapt to the weather in this coutry. But,it's easier to say than be done.
