I hate exams after rest, and it always happens in China. So during the rest, I usually spend most of the time on review. Even I can take some time going out or playing with my family, I can’t enjoy myself very much, because I always think of the exam that coming soon. This kind of situation happens to me again.
Last weekend, we had the first exam of math and c programming, which makes me very tired to prepare for it. All the students had to do well in this exam, at least get 70 points, otherwise, they will receive a warning letter, which means that you have to study hard in the following time. Also, it is said if a student receive a warning letter two times, he or she will be sent back to China, which is an absolutely awful thing. In order to void this kind of bad situation, all the students study very hard and try their best to be well prepared for it. Before the exam, some day I spent the whole day on typing different programming on the computer and even studied until midnight, just like the life that I used to experience in my grade 3 in senior high school. I thought I was prepared well before the exam, though there are still some lack, I had try my best. However, things didn’t happen toward the good ending that I wished. The math is quiet normal, and I think most of us can pass it. But the C programming exam is quiet unexpected, most of the questions was really confusing. Some of those words were really hard to understand, which means that I even didn’t make out the meaning of some questions, and I thought some of the questions were out of the range of what we had learned in the class. So the C programming exam was really hard, maybe it will a little hard to pass it. But all of those have passed; now we are facing the next challenge and what we should do now is forgetting those and moving towards next target.
Wish all of us can pass that exam!

The same feeling with you ! In China,we did a lot of practice as preparing for final exams but here, we just learn and don't be familiar with what to be tested and how we are going to be examed. So, some time later, we can handle more with these "awful" exams!
ReplyDeleteAccording to your blogger, i think you may do your math test very well. And i heard that we don't need to get 70 marks for each subjects. You sum the math marks and the programming marks and as long as the sum is 140, it is ok.
ReplyDeleteOf course, i hope you can get more than 70 marks in both subjects.
ahhhh, yes!!!! When I saw those maths titles, "ah~ So easy~" but when I began to write...
ReplyDeleteThanks to Elain's report on last Tuesday, we know what "char()" means!:D
For 'difficult' subjects, it is always a good idea to group study. Set aside 2 hours and work on it. One person is the 'tutor' and explains the theory etc.. the others check if the 'tutors' is correct in what he/she taught, The questions and working on the tutorial questions. Be aware - no chatting, just pure concentration on work. I assure you it works!
ReplyDeleteNow the results come to light. Dr.Tian told us yesterday that for our SM3 students, we pass the exam at 70 points. But for local students, they pass the exam at only 40 points. We are better than them.
