A "Boss"

We had a party called STARLIGHT NIGHT last Saturday night, which was held by seniors in our orientation. It was so fantastic! But for me there was not all happiness.

We had been divided into 12 groups(different from tutorial groups) and each group should perform a show in the party. There was only one week for preparation. We spent a whole afternoon discussing what we would perform. This idea was too unpractical and that idea had no innovation. Finally, I came up with a good idea. Why not just perform our daily life in a special way? I dressed the content a serious coat. I gave it a name that “Eton Hall News Broadcast”. It took 4 hours for me to work the drama script out. That’s really a big challenge for a green hand. However, it really hurt me when a guy in my group didn’t respect my work. He just showed me a boss look and acted like an auntie picking vegetables. How much I wanted to shout at him that “Please, do you know how to spell RESPECT? You think it easy, and then you do it! Don’t stand by and just pick the apples without cultivation!” But I didn’t. I told myself that it didn’t worth being angry with such guy.

Finally, our show gained a lot of acclaim, which gave me large fulfillment and swept away the unhappiness. Nevertheless, when I recall the thing, I still wonder why one could hurt others so easily and how he would survive the fierce society in the future. I wish that he could learn how to get along with others as soon as possible.

  1. It took only 4 hours for you to work the drama script out!!! you are really quick in mind. Well, I completely agree with you. It took me several nights to write out my scrip out of mothing, but I do not know at all whether it is worthwhile or not. How I wish I could forget about it.Sympathy!

  5. Well, you cannot ask everyone to respect your work. We have to learn how to deal with such situations. You had the chance and you did well! It is true that you also learn how to respect others' work, isn't it? That's enough. We do something and we learn something. That is life!

  6. As your close roommate who have witnessed you staying up until late for the preparation, I'm really angry about the person you mentioned. How can he easily regard your efforts as nothing?

Your blog reminds me of the drama we performed that night. I argued with one of my groupmembers about our scription... He just was immersed in his own idea of the drama which totally couldn't be put into pratice. What's worse, he always wanted to change the drama even in the last minute before final show, thus he always was absent-minded when rehearsing. As the director, I couldn't bear anymore...

But that's the music and we have to accept. So just concentrate on your work, that's enough!
