what is the ideal educational system ?

I have studied in China for twelve years. And I had taken part in the college entrance examination which is the most important exam in china. After that I had studied in china′s university for about two months. Now I have received the education in Singapore and known many things about western countries′education. So I am always thinking about what is the advantages and disadvantages in Chinese and Singapore′s educational system? How to improve it?
China′s educational system has its own advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that teachers always train students to win the best achievements in their school life. So with time students have very good consciousness of competition. When they finish school and attend jobs, they will take the good habit to their jobs. They will be very serious and hard-working. They try their best to be the distinguished clerk for the excellence. The disadvantages are that teachers pay more attention to the examination. They ignore the most important things that they should train them in individual ideas.
Singapore＇s examination system is good. It offers students with more opportunities and choices about their future. Students could choose what they to do , which could make them put all their passions and energies to what they love to do. What＇s more, students have many after-class activities which could mould their temperament and enlarge their horizon. This is very useful and helpful to their growth in body and psychology. Team spirits are encouraged from childhood. So when they attend jobs, they could easily get along well with workmates.
But it also has drawbacks. It gives students too much freedom. Some students are not self-control. Maybe they will waste their time on something bad. I think teachers should restrict students in some aspects properly.
So in my point of view, combine the western and eastern countries′s advantages will lead to a good system. But there is another thing which is very important. Different countries have different national conditions. So when we put the education system into practice, we should consider more.
