I feel frustated these days. My seniors who come from jilin university told me that the course we would study in the National university of Singapore would depend on our college enterance examination's marks. I don't know whether the information is true or not. If it is true, that means I can't choose a better course because of my low marks.
I think it is unreasonable and unfair. In china different areas conduct their own college entrance examination so the test paper is different from each other. Some test papers are so easy that many students get a very high mark. While some are very difficult to get a high mark. What's more, the full mark is also different. Most of the test papers' full mark is 750 but jiangsu provice's is 480. I think it is difficult to make comparison. Yes, we can multiply our marks by 1.5625 then we can make comparison. Is it really unfair? No! That means if we lose one mark we will lose 1.5625 mark. Furthermore, I think the college extrance examination's marks just represent your previous level. Your present level will be reflected by your marks of your bridging course. That you got a high mark in the college entrance examination doesn't mean you can also do well in your bridging course and vice versa.
In my opinion, the basement of choosing course should be the mark of our bridging course. If two or more students' marks are same then the college entrance examination's mark will work. Now I am a little upset. I hope the information is not really.

ReplyDeleteIn my mind, the mark you got in your college enterance examination is not the most important thing, though it may be unfair if it acts as the way your said. Just focus yourself on study now, i believe everything will go as you wish, if you can work hard all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't matter. Actually all of the courses in NSU are very good. Interest is the most important thing in study.So just enjoy the time now and learn happily.
