Say Goodbye to Yesterday
Time flies, I have come to Singapore for nearly a month. However, until now, I still think it’s so amazing that I can study in NUS and live in Singapore. I thought I will spend 4 years or even longer in my university-Central South University, and then I will study, work and live in China during my whole life. However things change this time, I catch the opportunity to study in Singapore, so now I can be a student in NUS. I felicitate myself that I can study in one of the most famous universities in the world. But I can’t be overconfident, there are still many works I should do to improve my English. When I enjoy the life and study in Singapore, at the same time, I still remember the unforgettable experience of mine in China, such as the hard work I did in order to finish my education in secondary school early, and the faith I had in the national college entrance exam. But all these have passed, what I am facing now is the new life in Singapore, and what I should do now is trying my best to study English well, and get over the difficulties of the life in Singapore, only in this way, I can be well prepared to adapt to the new world in forint of me. I am really looking forward to everyday that will come in the next 9 years and 11 months in Singapore. I will treasure this opportunity to make everyday in my life meaningful. So I want to speak it out loudly is: Yesterday, goodbye! My life in tomorrow must be wonderful, I just know it!

ReplyDeleteHi Edison, yes, time flies - Jan of 2010 is gone forever. We say goodbye to yesterday, but the memories linger on, we do not forget that part of our life, we have learned so we move on to the next, each move a better move. Sometimes there may be little pebbles along the way, at other times large boulders: what do we do with the pebbles and the boulders? Yes, it is essential you improve your English proficiency, but also enjoy your student days, participate in student activities, they are the best days of your life.
