The most heart-breaking news during recess

Someone makes full use of his life to reach the peak of his career, while there still exist someone using just a short time to make himself a house-hold name, of course he tends to do something illegally. Zheng Yongmin is one of these who do illegal things to make themselves known to others. He killed 8 primary school students and injured another 5 in just 55 seconds.
Within just 55 seconds, 8 lovely pupils were deprived of their lives ruthlessly by this evil. Maybe those 8 students went to school happily that morning and waited patiently outside their school due to time had not come for them to go into school. But minutes later, they were knifed to death abruptly. They even had no time to ask for help or had a look at the evil who took away their lives.
A storm of public indignation at it arose when the heartbreaking news was broadcast throughout the whole China. All the people were dismayed at it. No one of us could think of a reason why he chose to kill these children who have no relationship with him at all. Every one of us wants him to be sentenced to death as many times as possible in order to show our resentment towards him.
But on another thought, why he chose to kill these young people? Is it because got a mental disorder or these children offended him before?
When we look back on Zheng’s life experience, we come to realize that everyone’s life is full of miserable stories, Zheng included. When he was young he prided himself on being a graduate from a medical secondary school. A certificate at that time is much valuable than certificate from a top university nowadays. Zheng thought it can ensure him a very good job, but life was not as easy as he thought. His family background made his certificate worthless. Eventually he got a job just in a clinic. This seemed to be the first lesson Zheng learnt from real life. He was not satisfied with his job, more importantly, he started to defy our society.
Later the way his clinic distributing its staff’s salary hurt him again. As a doctor he enjoyed the sense of accomplishment, but when it came to his salary, he suffered a lot. His extremely low salary even cannot let himself live all by himself, he had to live and eat in his parents’ house. Because of his low salary he had been rejected by seven or eight girls. The sharp contrast made him started to suffer depression. This situation got more and more severe with the time passed by. But he buried all his thought inside himself and never let others know.
And people around him seldom cared him heart and soul. It’s said that two days before Zheng committing this murder, he talked to a female neighbor that he wanted to make a suicide. Instead of comforting him, his female neighbor dared him to kill some others in revenge for society. Maybe it is these words that lead Zheng to commit this frightening massacre.
It is blatant that Zheng should shoulder the biggest share of responsible; nevertheless, our society’s system on distributing wealth is also guilty. And if China put more effort on its civilians’ mental health treatment and people reach out their hands to help people around them, this tragedy may not be heard.
While this incident is not the first, nor the last one. Each of us is part of the society, we should clear for what we should do to avoid something like this happen any more !

  1. Everybody has gloom in his heart. It is somehow unavoidable. It is how you deal with it that counts. He is a tragedy. But things that have happened are inexorable. Maybe you're right-higher phsycological care is needed in China.

  2. Maybe you were too resentful and thoughtful about this tragic incident to pay enough attention to sentence structures, coherence, s-v parallel, etc. Just one sincere suggestion: revise before publishing:)

  4. A good topic! Does your own miserable life caused by people around you make excuses for your illegal behavior towards them? it's hard to say. To avoid it, we must learn to love others, not to show to others but from the bottom of your heart.

  5. I think we should not blame all the mistakes to him. We should think about this question critically. Of course he is guility. He should not release his own unhappiness to others. However, I think we should think about the society. If he was not so miserable when he was young, I think he can also be a very good person. We should care more about the persons around us. If his friends could support him and help him walk out of gloom, the tragedy would also not happen.
